Explain your decisions
Select the problem, method, findings and contribution instead of reciting every chapter. Follow the duration and format specified by your university. Support helps you prepare and rehearse; you deliver the defence yourself.
Run a useful rehearsal
Explain the central idea without slides first. Build transitions and attach evidence to claims. Time the talk, identify delays and remove material before speaking faster. Rehearse interruptions, your opening, your closing and a backup demonstration.
Answer panel questions
Practise why you chose the method, rejected alternatives, limitations and next steps. Answer the question first, then provide evidence. Acknowledge what is outside your scope rather than inventing an answer.
Review scope and materials
A review can cover report-to-talk consistency, methodological explanations, selected results, timing and responses to objections. Provide the report, rubric, date, permitted duration and existing materials.
Separate slides from oral delivery
Slide preparation organises visual evidence. Defence preparation focuses on explaining and responding. Use the rehearsal timer, return to the project hub or request a scoped quote. A grade cannot be guaranteed.
